Even when we are in the midwest, we like to represent, particularly when the ducks are playing in the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.
A sad game, but a good time. I'd still way rather be from Oregon then be from Alabama. Though the war eagle is pretty sweet.

Things That I'm Into: The Kids are All Right
I loved this movie for a lot of different reasons. It reminded me of the good parts of living in LA. Mark Ruffalo is ADORABLE. The Joni Mitchell sing-a-long is reminiscent of my family dinners growing up. It has a smart script and interesting characters. Good soundtrack. The teenagers are thoughtful instead of total dipshits, like they are usually portrayed in movies. Highly recommend!

Things That I'm Into: Yosemite
I go to Yosemite every year, but the epic vistas never get old. These photos courtesy of the Polly Dome Lakes trail (6 miles, trailhead near Tenaya Lake) and Cloud's Rest trail (15 miles, trailhead also near Tenaya Lake). Kind of wish I was there now.

Things That I'm Into: Bi-Rite Creamery
Yes, along with all the other hipsters/yuppies/humans in San Francisco, I'm pretty into Bi-Rite Ice Cream. Even though we had to wait ten minutes in line. Totally worth it. LOOK at these flavor choices:
I had Brown Sugar Ginger and Cookies and Cream (which Bay Area resident Laura assured me was the best).
Dining companions:
Now if it was only warm enough in San Francisco that you didn't have to wear sweatshirts and scarfs while eating your ice cream....
Things That I'm Into: Vacation
Sorry for the blogging hiatus, I was taking a vacation from my otherwise pretty much vacation filled life. Sometimes you need a vacation from vacation, right? I was westcoasting it up and it was rad. Now I am back in Chicago and have three more days until I join the ranks of the employed... eeek. I'll just look at my sunburn and mosquito bites and teleport back to hiking and swimming and drinking on patios and seeing old friends.
